Нина уезжает к родителям, и там знакомится с интересной сорокалетней издательницей. Она очень одинока, потому что все свободное время вынуждена ухаживать за больной матерью. Она уже давно не верит в чудеса, но вынуждена будет изменить свое мнение, после того, как столкнется с ним накануне самой заветной ночи. Тем временем, Майк вынужден избегать настойчивого старика Арти, который уверен, что в героя переселилась душа его умершей жены. Майк постепенно понимает, что значит быть преследуемым, и жалеет о своих поступках с Ниной.
Первый сезон американской версии вышел в 2011 году и, так случилось, что он намного больше полюбился зрителю. Истории в нем более продуманные и полные, актеры отыгрывают намного натуральнее, да и выглядят, чего уж тут лукавить, в разы симпатичнее. К тому же американские «Бесстыжие» больше похоже на трагикомедию, а английские — на ситком с элементами драмы. Ну и основное отличие и изюминка американского проекта — взаимоотношения болтливого гопника с юга Чикаго Микки Ноэль Фишер и Йена Cameron Monaghan — парня, который начинает свой день с пары десятков отжиманий и подтягиваний, потому что мечтает стать офицером. Химия, которую ребята творят оба актера при этом гетеросексуалы , заставляет забыться даже самых прожженных гомофобов и молча смотреть и сопереживать персонажам иначе, откуда у сериала такие рейтинги?
К тому же отношения Йена и Микки абсолютно не похожи на то, что мы обычно привыкли видеть в фильмах про гомосексуальные отношения. В них нет манерности или чрезмерной сентиментальности, какие-либо проявления симпатии происходят обычно где-то между выкриками «Fuck You! Но к чему я все это? В этом году вышел 6 сезон «Бесстыжих», где Ноэль появился в маленьком эпизоде первой серии и покинул проект.
