Detailed in the single photo shared with 9to5Toys, the new LEGO 75334 Obi-Wan vs Vader set will be recreating the battle between the two former Jedi shown off in episode three of Kenobi. The set is pretty much just a dull gray rocky base with some builds on top that recreate the scene from the show of Vader pulling Kenobi into the pit of fire. There are some redeeming aspects about the set, which are almost entirely focused around the included minifigures. Obi-Wan is going to be exclusive to the set and different than the version included in the Inquisitor Transport Scythe kit.

As briefly touched upon in my intro, the set is inspired by the moment Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi meet for the first time since their Mustafar duel, on the Empire-controlled mining planet of Mapuzo. This set captures that moment and even features play functions inspired by the action in the scene. In order to integrate those features, the set is built on a raised platform. The simple mechanisms to power them are featured in the base of the set. The reasoning is to allow for a strip of flaming Vintrium shards to appear across the middle of the platform. This is achieved by a plate connected to a bar of Technic elements.

The print detail in the torso has been ever so slightly tweaked and now features print on the arms. Two new characters join Vader and Ben. So her minifigure being in an Imperial outfit does seem a little odd plus the lack of hair under the Imperial Officer caps just makes her look like any other generic Imperial. Finally, one of the best minifigures in the set is the new Droid NED-8. An additional printed slope piece is attached to the back to complete the look.
Review Round-up A lot has been said about the pricing of this set and I have to agree its current price tag is quite high for what the set offers. Those obviously have a considerably lower price point. That being said I do like that the Star Wars sets are branching out beyond the constant rehashing of older sets.

There Must Only Be Ten Given that there are only ten versions of Luke as well, it seems the game may have capped its alternate skins at ten per character. This is a great choice given the many looks they sport throughout the franchise; that list could easily be well over 600 figures long, with a majority of those being variations of the same person. There will be several DLC packs, the first ones being character packs bringing aboard figures from The Mandalorian and Rogue One , among others.
