На Art Dubai мы были впервые, поэтому можем сравнить ярмарку только с европейскими и российскими событиями. Целый отдельный арт-мир, который почти не проявляется на европейских ярмарках. Работы каких художников вы для себя открыли на Art Dubai 2024?
Кого бы вы хотели видеть в своей коллекции? Если бы я была куратором крупной институции, приобрела бы работу палестинской художницы Мирны Бамиех, которую представляла дубайская галерея с российскими корнями Nika Project. А для своей личной коллекции — тонкую и трагическую графическую поэму индийской художницы Mithu Sen. Какие секции ярмарки особенно показались интересными? Важной и интересной мне показалась секция под названием bawwaba, что в переводе с арабского обозначает «вход».
Там выставлены персональные стенды художников «глобального Юга»: художники рассказывали о кастах и классовом неравенстве, вынужденной эмиграции и поиске ощущения дома.
