New Features of Revit 2024!
In 3D views, visually compare collaboration models created in Revit or other modeling tools for coordination purposes. You can link directly to views from Autodesk Docs without downloading the file to a local resource. Views linked from Autodesk Docs use permissions from the Autodesk Docs account to manage access, making it easier to use the collaboration workflow when IP protection is important. Snap Points for Coordination Models Use snap points to easily model in context, to measure between two references based on the coordination model points, or to better position the coordination model.
Revit now offers intervals of 15, 30, 45, and 60 seconds, which allows you to analyze shadows with greater accuracy. In addition, you can drag the Sun along its path in Perspective mode instead of using the Orthographic mode. These models are lightweight and elements can be selected. You can read out the information from the selected element in the Properties Browser. One of the main benefits is the capability to link models from previous versions of Revit without upgrading them. This feature is very useful when collaborating with other stakeholders who are working with older model versions. Once you have linked Coordination Models, you can manage these files in the Coordination Model tab located in the Manage Links menu.
As you can see in the example below, every surface of the floor has been aligned individually with the same pattern. To reset the pattern, you can use the Entire Surface again. This style can be described as a hybrid mode between Consistent Colors and Realistic. It will show textures like in the Realistic mode but without the global lights which sometimes can be a little buggy on floorplans. You can use the Texture style for presentation in 3D views, or floor planners, for example. However, Revit 2024 has introduced its own Color Book.

Unlike Toposurface, Toposolid has a thickness and you can set different contour display for every toposolid type. Toposolids can host floor-based families. Toposolids are new system families with compound layers and type parameters. Add multiple layers and set materials. You can create toposolids from sketch or CAD imports, just select layers that contain points. You can use Split tool from the Modify tab to split a toposlid into multiple toposolids. You can use Graded Region tool on toposolids in Existing phase. Grading of surface points at toposolids works the same way as the shape editor at floors. Sub-Divide tool replaced Subregion tool. You can use Sub-Divide to apply different materials to a toposolid. Then you can set material and height thickness for each sub-division.
Mass void replaced Building Pad tool. Create void mass and use the Cut tool to create hole in the Toposolid. This workflow is less comfortable than using Building Pad tool but it enables to create any shape for site excavations or tunnels. Cutting enabled for topography. You can cut a toposolid with other toposolids or with elements in other categories, including walls, floors, structural foundations, etc. In previous versions of Revit, you probably used railings to create curbs. In this version you can use Floor Slab Edge, but take into account that it can only be placed on the edge of the toposolid, the edge of subdivision is not supported. Modernized and improved user interface Dark theme. Revit provides dark theme which allows you to set AutoCAD-style interface. The color of the main window can be set separately using Canvas Theme tool located in the View tab.

Сохранение видов при изменении варианта конструкции! В диалоговом окне «Удаление связанных с элементом видов» флажки для видов сняты по умолчанию, и можно установить флажки только для тех видов, которые требуется удалить.

Previously the EAM was created from everything in the model with the only filtering options being phase or room bounding, which would be considered destructive in most cases to required modeling and documentation workflows. Why is this helpful? Here are just a couple of examples I have encountered: A large existing warehouse-type facility with an attached, much smaller two-story office addition. The office has its own HVAC system. Previously, Revit could only create one large EAM that included the warehouse and would also calculate its energy loads. A penthouse remodel within a high-rise building. Unless the entire building below was set to non-room bounding, it would be included in the energy model. Small non-conditioned out buildings on a property, such as a barn, garage, pool equipment building, etc.
This new workflow is still not perfect, but a step in the right direction. For example, there needs to be an option to define some wall s as adiabatic when using this new workflow option. Figure 1. These models are represented within Revit as lightweight geometry and can be easily navigated.
Sub-elements can be selected, and their properties are listed in the Properties palette. If you were paying close attention just now, you might have connected the dots that a Revit model can be linked in as a lightweight model. This might be helpful with specific consultant models. Here is the big news, with this new feature … not only can you link in a Revit model, but you can link different versions of Revit models! For example, your Revit 2024 model can link in a Revit 2022 model without needing to upgrade the 2022 model. This is a brave new world. Figure 3.
However, until now, the local location was not editable. If you have a laptop, for example, with a smaller SSD C: drive, and a larger D: drive, there was no way to point the local BIM 360 storage to the more spacious D: drive. So, while this new sample model is a great new resource for those learning Revit, I will miss the easy access to the lightweight residential sample model to open quickly for troubleshooting. Массив То же очень полезное изменение в поведении массива, теперь при создании массива можно указать и 1 элемент и 0 элементов. Массив при этом не ломается и не выдаёт ошибок, лишние элементы просто скрываются. В проектах не самая нужная вещь, а вот при создании семейств избавляет от некоторых костылей. Массив с несколькими элементами Массив с 0 элементов 4. Как говориться Мелочь, а приятно. Будут более аккуратные чертежи особенно узлов с меньшими затратами времени 5. Окно свойств Типоразмера В окне свойств типоразмера добавили кнопку сортировки параметров По умолчанию — По алфавиту, и теперь это окно запоминает ширину столбцов при закрытие окна раньше сбрасывалось. Даже не знаю, вроде полезно, но совсем мелочь. Размышлял над этой тёмной темой и почему о ней говорят как о большом улучшении, на мой взгляд она может быть удобна когда в темноте работаешь, чтоб глаза не уставали.

Ранее её добавляли в другие категории, теперь дело и до решёток дошло. Галочка позволяет отображать на плане вложенное семейство аннотаций, даже если воздухораспределитель установлен не параллельно уровню. Новая категория «Дополнительные каркасы MEP» Эта категория больше ориентирована на модуль Fabrication — то есть для производителей и монтажников воздуховодов. В России им не пользуются, так что пригодится ли категория — непонятно. Кроме того, заметил ещё в 2023 Revit категорию «Виброизоляторы», её видно только при создании параметра с типоразмером семейства, в других окнах не заметил.
Та же ерунда с категорией «Обозначения подъемов и опусков». Фильтрация по отметкам труб, воздуховодов, лотков и коробов Теперь при создании фильтра для труб, воздуховодов, лотков и коробов можно выбирать кучу всяких отметок, в том числе с учётом изоляции. Обновление формулы Халанда для воздуховодов Просто цитата из справки: «Обновлена формула Халанда для расчета потери давления в прямом сегменте воздуховода. Теперь вместо эквивалентного диаметра используется гидравлический диаметр». Особо добавить нечего.
Модель энергопотребления с учётом скрытых элементов Если кто-то этим вдруг пользовался, то теперь можно сначала настроить видимость только тех элементов, которые нужны рассчитывать, а уже потом считать. Ну чисто теоретически тогда можно скрывать ненужные стены и оставлять только один «слой» из стен, предварительно задав ему термическое сопротивление всей стены, и так считать теплопотери. Вот как-то так. Особое предупреждение тем, кто коллекционирует Revit ранних версий 2019 и младше. Так что пользуйтесь легальным софтом там, где это возможно.

Reduce errors and omissions in your document sets. For those of us who used to work in AutoCAD, not having a dark theme in Revit always took a while to get used to. We finally have a dark theme in Revit and it does very much seem worth the wait. It has several options to really customize it. To turn it on, you will need to navigate to the File tab in the upper right and then select the Options button. There is a new tab in this property box named Colors. In this tab, you will be able to set Dark Theme or Light Theme with the dropdown. The rest of the colors can be customized in each theme using RGB colors.

In Revit 2024, the add-in has been updated to reveal the full geometry of elements which are within the visible portion of the cropped view when the sectioning tool is disabled. The second video will focus solely on the structural changes and new features both in Revit 2023.2 and Revit 2024. I've done a few light searches but haven't seen any discussions or speculation about the new version of Revit.
