This is another LEGO Minifigure where we get the usual transparent blue bricks as the rocket boosters. It has all the usual details and print applications covering it and even has some really nicely defined red and gold paneling down either side of the stomach.
The only issue we can see is that while the Iron Man in the movie has a fully exposed Arc reactor, the Minifigure has half a reactor. It is fairly accurate to the suit we see on screen. However, they add more gold highlights on the torso and leg pieces. Perhaps this is because they used earlier concept art to base their prints on, or perhaps they just wanted to make the Minifigure look a little more interesting.
It has a great-looking triangular Arc reactor printed in the center of the torso piece, and we like that LEGO gave it space to breathe, leaving the detailing towards the bottom of the torso and onto the legs. This Iron Man Minifigure comes complete with the wing accessories that he battles with. A harness goes around his neck and hangs on the back of the torso, and you simply assemble and clip the four arms to the harness. It looks neat and even has a blaster effect to add to the action shots.
One issue is that the wings have stickers that need to be applied to them instead of the details being printed on. Some people might not mind this, while others will take issue with the stickers.

The visor is then hinged in two different directions to achieve the correct shape. When you look at any polished metal surface, it is the contrast of highlight and shadow together with the tone of the actual metal that determines how you perceive the shape of the object. In the case of a LEGO model, we typically make use of color to create these differentiations. There are numerous angled surfaces that merge here and create strong contrasting areas of highlight and shadow.
I tried many different approaches, and I think the final solution addresses the challenges and stays true to the design language of the rest of the helmet. The shortcut here would have been to just change the color of 75277, the Boba Fett helmet, but we are driven by the idea that LEGO elements offer an infinite number of possibilities, so we continue the search for new ways to hopefully take it a step further.
With flame printing that runs up his legs, he has a great gunmetal gray body with maroon arms. It was clearly intended for Iron Man to leave his mask on! It features a shocking yellow pauldron that represents the armors yellow paint applications. The color may be too bright and clean, but it gets the idea across well. The actual suit has arms that end in huge jackhammer-like endings. However, this Minifigure just goes with the yellow pauldrons at the top of regular gray arms. This pauldron piece can be slid onto the neck and sandwiched between the torso and head pieces.
The usual vibrant reds are replaced with an extremely dark almost black blue. This gives the gold printing an extra effective pop! Again, this can be quickly and easily swapped out with the printed face piece included in the 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armor set. The details in the printing are good, and they included plenty of tiny little parts to keep things interesting. At all!

Because the wings need to be assembled, put together, and clipped to the backpack section, this Minifigure has a pretty high piece count, with 38 individual pieces needed to construct him. So special is this Minifigure that we got it in not one but two separate sets! It would have made this Minifigure extra special if they could have printed some tiny infinity stones onto the right hand.
Unfortunately, hand printing is rarely ever seen. It really makes the torso piece pop! Similarly, the metallic silver highlights add some depth and definition and make what could be a messy paint job look busy yet clear. On the other hand, we could also see the addition of battle damage making the figure look far too busy and cluttered. He also comes with a flip-up mask and two blue blast pieces for his feet — pretty standard by now!
