Glastonberry был задуман как музыкальный клуб, в котором сочетаются демократичная и комфортная атмосфера английского паба и профессиональная концертная площадка с отличным звуком и светом. Сцена клуба всегда была и будет открыта как для популярных звезд, так и для молодых музыкантов.
И не просто так! Когда-то супруги, работавшие на этой земле, решили создать собственный фестиваль, который стал бы аналогом « Вудстока ». И только посмотрите, к чему это привело теперь! Рассказываем о самых ярких моментах, по которым мы точно запомним фестиваль Гластонбери 2023 года на всю жизнь. Прощальное выступление Элтона Джона Пожалуй, самое яркое событие, ради которого многие люди и ехали на фестиваль. Элтон Джон , которому исполнилось уже 76 лет последний раз поднялся на сцену. С Pyramid Stage прозвучали самые яркие хиты исполнителя, которые знакомы людям по всему свету. Кстати, на этот раз концерт был посвящён Джорджу Майклу.
Певца не стало ещё в 2016 году, но Элтон решил таким образом отдать дань его памяти. Ведь, скорее всего, это самый последний концерт в моей жизни! Кстати, Гластонбери очень повезло стать площадкой для этого выступления.

Was it worth the wait? In some ways, yes. Her vocal range, meanwhile, was both wide and accurate. The ending was anticlimactic, to say the least. Мероприятия в клубе Glastonberry в 2024—2025 году О клубе Клуб Glastonberry распахнул свои двери для гостей в феврале 2011 года. Название заведения, созвучное одному из самых известных и популярных музыкальных фестивалей мира, было выбрано не случайно.
But rather than cry into his now redundant beer, Andy, pub manager Shonie Millward-Usher helped by a team of villagers and locals, have spent the last year turning the inn into a thriving hub of the community. Initially they stocked items like hand sanitiser, milk, bread and of course, toilet rolls. The service proved so popular that the duo quickly decided to develop it further and opened the Motto Shoppo in a disused former stable on the site.
The shoppo now stocks a far wider range of goods including milk, basic essentials and locally produced eggs. It has its own coffee machine, a charcuterie section and each morning has a fresh bread delivery. The shop was opened in June last year, by villager Phil Carnell who helped with the build. The pub, which is one of only buildings in the village never to be owned by the Gibbs family of the neighbouring Tyntesfield Estate, did re-open when lockdown lifted in July.
I felt lonely despite the number of people. I had to apologetically explain as I tried to wriggle my way out of the packed crowd that I was by myself just wanting to get out, and was stopped by a pair who took pity on me and offered for me to spend the set with them. Squashed sideways and able to see nothing thanks to being 5ft, I headed for thinner ground but was boosted by their gesture of kindness. As Alex Turner took to the stage there was a big surge that sent someone shoving into me, and I felt another protective arm on my shoulder from a woman behind me. She was with a bigger group and they welcomed me to stick with them, despite us being total strangers. As the band launched into Sculptures of Anything Goes I felt my mood buoyed by the bass and the cheerful whooping of everyone around me.
Glastonbury Community Land Group plans to buy it and reopen as a community pub and hub. It says the pub could have a small micro brewery with local ciders, select wines and home-brewed Kombucha alongside a menu incorporating locally grown ingredients. They propose using large multifunction rooms for classes, meetings, courses, office space and health and wellbeing support. The group envisions a menu with locally sourced food and drink Image: James A Baker Glastonbury Community Land Group was formed to explore options for taking land and property into common ownership and for community benefit.
It recently received funding from The Plunkett Foundation, an organisation that helps communities open and run pubs and community hubs.
