The Montreal-based video game development studio continues to work hard on DBD, putting out some amazing content with each major update. Its latest one introduced the sinister doll — Chucky as a killer in the game, and the studio also added Nic Cage as a new winter outfit. Suffice it to say that Dead by Daylight is doing quite well in terms of content. Behaviour continues to rework a lot of old killers and survivors to make them playable, and the studio has even mentioned some of them in a roadmap for the first half of 2024.
And the upcoming major updates are something that both old and new players are eagerly looking forward to. What we do know officially is that the release of Chapter 30. Chapter 31, on the other hand, will arrive in March 2024 as per the official Year 8 roadmap provided by Behaviour Interactive and will introduce a new Killer and Survivor. Scavenger is disabled for the remainder of the Trial after recharging a Toolbox. This perk grants the ability to rummage through an opened chest once per Trial and will guarantee a basic Toolbox. A rocky and bare area that will give players a more open space to explore. A destroyed vehicle incased on spiky rocks serves as a testament of a fierce battle and can now serve as a landmark. On the opposite side of the map a lush and busy jungle will give the players a claustrophobic feeling even outside. The vegetation although menacing can be used by the Survivors to hide and wait for the real threat to pass by. Between the two biomes is the Toba Landing, now a desolate remnant of what was once a second chance of life and is now a carcass of advance technology.

Being able to preview allows players to preview pieces from different locked and unlocked Cosmetics, mix and matching options to be able to "try them out" before unlocking them. Players can now filter their Cosmetics with different options, and are able to show all options that are currently unavailable! This way players can check out how their Cosmetic choices are going to look during the Mori! Power and Perks were moved to the Power and Perks window. Common Unlocking is now done with a press and hold mechanic to allow for a confirmation process free of pop ups. The section for getting more Auric Cells can now be accessed through the Store, and it can also be accessed by clicking the Auric Cells counter on the top right corner of the screen. Kill switched options are going to be available for unlocking, yet we are making sure to communicate it with a pop up for players to confirm they still want to proceed. Search bars have been included in most sections to allow finding Characters, Collections, and Cosmetics easier. Added a celebration pop up to better communicate that players have unlocked content or earned a reward at the Store.
The layout was updated to be easier to read and use, providing key information without the need to hover on any Perk option. During a match, when opening the Match Details window Escape on computers , players can see their equipped Perks. Hovering on Perks and Offerings allow players to see the tooltips and read their description. This update will have no effect on gameplay or in-game graphics and serves as a foundation for possible future improvements. NEW Victor will now glow red whenever he is vulnerable to being crushed and white when he is not. NEW Charlotte can now recall Victor at any point while he is unbound. NEW A new icon has been added to indicate the moment when Victor can be recalled. NEW Decreased the time it takes to switch back to Charlotte to 1.

We made some adjustments to the addons to slightly lower their strength whilst still maintaining their usefulness. We have decided to remove the animation for Decisive Strike before the update is released. The stun time for the Perk will remain at 5 seconds for the time being. The Perk will remain as it was on the PTB in the meantime.
So we went updated the gameplay to make it more fluid and fitting with the loops and to actually add gameplay. The Art team went through as well to make things look nice. We updated this and improved the quality there as well. Fixed an issue where the Memory Shard visual effects would not stop drawing when in Spectator mode. Players can now signal a bot for their attention by either using the "come here" emote or by t-bagging. Bots now change the priority of their interactions when they are targeting a specific interactor. Bots no longer stop in front of certain vaults. Characters The Knight can no longer summon many Guards at the same time when vaulting a window. The screen no longer turns black for spectators after The Cenobite teleports to the Lament Configuration. Fixed an issue in Mount Ormond where a collision would block the Guards. The DBD community is driving themselves crazy speculating over the identity of the mystery baddie. We cannot wait for BeHaviour Interactive to pull the curtain aside, but first, we will all be treated to the returning Haunted By Daylight. It will last until November 6th, meaning you have over two weeks of trick-or-treat goodness to enjoy.

Additionally, Brutal Strength will speed up the base pallet destruction, while a combination of Spirit Fury and Hubris will let you instantly destroy a pallet after a successful pallet stun while inflicting the Survivor responsible with the Exposed status effect. Dark Adherent Master Challenge — Hook Survivors a total of 3 times 8 rift shards, 25,000 bloodpoints, 1 compendium chapter. This is a simple enough challenge, so consider bringing perks based on hooks. Scourge Hook perks will grant significant bonuses if you hook Survivors on highlighted hooks. If you see a lot of flashlights in the lobby, think about bringing Lightborn to prevent blinds while picking up downed Survivors. Swarm of Darkness Master Challenge — Playing as The Artist, cause survivors who are at least 20 metres away from you to become Swarmed while they are either working on an incomplete Generator, an unopened Chest, or a Totem, a total of six times. Equipping Discordance will automatically highlight any generator with more than two survivors working on it. This can help you pinpoint the location of multiple Survivors. Meanwhile, the Severed Hands add-on will automatically Swarm any survivors within three meters of a Swarmed survivor.
